This training teaches leaders how to foster
workplace environments that support healthier and more productive
lifestyles. The training focuses on four
primary leadership skills:
- Sharing
a wellness vision
- Serving as a role model
- Aligning
cultural touch points for program participation
and healthy lifestyles
- Recognizing success
The training
focuses on leadership responsibilities within a
worksite context and is geared to executives,
managers, supervisors, program directors and members of
steering
committees.
How the Training Works
This is an
applied training. Key leadership ideas are explained
using video testimonials,
case studies and research reports. Participants
apply their new understandings within their work setting. Course assignments
ask participants
to
report on these leadership experiences. The professor,
Dr. Judd Allen, provides feedback
on these leadership efforts.
